SPEAKING STARTUP: MISSOURI BUSINESS ALERT'S ENTREPRENEURSHIP PODCAST
I had the opportunity to produce, anchor and edit Missouri Business Alert's entrepreneurship podcast: Speaking Startup. We covered Missouri's startup landscape and the people and issues that shaped it, including shows on medical marijuana, advertising technology and sustainability. In some of my favorite episodes, we cover more unusual topics like strange startups and the business of organizing a music festival.
I spent a semester working as an Associate Producer for Global Journalist, an international news radio show broadcasted weekly on KBIA, mid-Missouri's NPR affiliate station. I produced three episodes covering life under Tanzania's Magufuli regime, the problem of child marriages in Southeast Asia and political gender quotas around the world. My responsibilities included researching, contacting and screening potential guests (including a Swedish MP and UN special rapporteur) and scripting segments.
A CHANGE IN ADMINISTRATIONS MEANS A CHANGE FOR WHAT "POLLUTED" MEANS IN MISSOURI
Missouri has more than 115,000 miles of streams and rivers. But whether they’re polluted or not? That’s in the eyes of which government institution is judging it. I produced this audio piece in March 2018 for KBIA covering the Greitens administration's more hands-off approach to regulation.
